Shen Yun Performing Arts at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis

Shen Yun — the globe's greatest dance company — has announced this year’s timetable of performances across many of North America’s most prestigious theaters, which includes the Orpheum Theatre on Friday 27th March 2026!

Before the period of Communist reign, 5000 YEARS of culture, legends, and arts prospered in every corner of the Chinese mainland, and year after year, the NYC-founded Shen Yun brings these timeless treasures back to life for everyone to admire! This year will be the same.

Divine gods walking across the country. Sprawling fields of grass roamed by Mongolian horse-riding nomads. And the wartime heroics of lionhearted warriors. Shen Yun’s yearly exhibitions center around the many legends and parables that transcended the nation's regimes, artistically portraying their tragedies and romances with teachings from Buddhist and Taoist beliefs to complete each story.

The forthcoming presentation will exhibit 20 story segments of ethereal performances in roughly 2 hours. Classically trained dancers dressed in delightfully vibrant costumes will take to the floor, chronicling the event’s sagas through 17 to 18 intricate folk dance sequences. Additionally, 2 to 3 vocal and instrumental solos will intersperse these phases with invigorating symphonies — traditional and original alike.

An accompanying symphony orchestra will play a sweeping score throughout the show, innovatively uniting Western and Chinese instrumentation. In regard to staging, Shen Yun utilizes a state-of-the-art virtual backdrop to display animated scenes, drawing guests into the realm of ancient China in a spectacular fashion.

For the tour’s pit stop in Minnesota's city of Minneapolis, the iconic Orpheum Theatre will open as host. Its stunning stage, graced by dozens of the past century's biggest acts, will set the foundation for the incredible event, further elevating it with splendid sight lines, pristine light setups, and pitch-perfect acoustics.
