Paul Simon comes to the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis on Monday, April 20th, still seemingly riding his " A Quiet Celebration label that he slapped on shows years ago. Don't let that name fool you, though, because when Paul Simon is on stage, things are anything but quiet! Paul Simon is a legend of the folk genre, and having a chance to hear him live is an opportunity that you just can't pass up. No reason to sugracoat this one, there might not be another chance to hear a true live rendition of "Graceland."

Get ready to hear about not one, but 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover! Paul Simon is a legend in this business, and it's amazing that he still has the drive to go on tour and hit the stage. That's not something that most people in their mid-80s are doing, that's for sure! Don't let the age thing fool you, though the last thing that this performance is, is slow. Paul Simon is likely going to be joined by incredible musicians on stage; those folk and blues beats are going to flow from the word go. If you're in your seat come Monday, April 20th, and you're just having a good time, but can't really describe the experience, that's Paul Simon for you, you're welcome!
You Can Call Me Al or catch up with Me and Julio Down... Those are a lock on the setlist for sure. Then you've also got the Seven Pslams album to look into if you've got an itch about exactly what the setlist is going to look like at this performance. Not to spoil any potential surprises, but an element that's been a staple of Paul Simon in his later years has been those highly emotional acoustic sessions. In a venue like this, those tend to hit home hard.
Think this one through before you rush to pick any seats in the house. It's true that you're going to have a great view of the show pretty much regardless of where you're sitting. However, the front of the theater could make you feel like you're at jazz night at your favorite bar with an up close and personal experience with the performers. The middle of the venue and event toward the back could offer a very "chill" experience. You're just sitting there enjoying the music and potentially more focused on the company that you have than what's truly going on, on stage. Any of these is a valid way to look at things.
