Shen Yun Performing Arts at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis

Shen Yun — today's finest cultural dance institution — has confirmed this year’s timetable of performances connecting many of the United States' most prestigious stadiums, which includes the Orpheum Theatre on Saturday 28th March 2026!

Before the period of Communist reign, 5000 YEARS of arts, legends, and culture flourished in each corner of mainland China, and year after year, the New York-founded Shen Yun revives these perennial treasures for everyone to admire! This year will be the same.

Heavenly beings marching across the country. Vast steppes roamed by Mongolian horse-riding nomads. And the wartime valor of fearless warriors. Shen Yun’s annual performances revolve around the innumerable myths and epics that transcended China’s regimes, artistically depicting their romances and tragedies with teachings from Buddhist and Taoist beliefs to round up each tale.

The upcoming production will showcase 20 story sections of otherworldly performances in roughly 2 hours. Classically trained dancers dressed in charmingly vibrant costumes will take to the floor, chronicling the event’s tales through 17 to 18 complex folk dance sequences. Additionally, 2 or 3 vocal and instrumental solos will intersperse these chapters with exhilarating melodies — traditional and original alike.

A full-piece symphony orchestra will play a rousing score throughout the event, seamlessly uniting Chinese and Western instruments. In regard to staging, Shen Yun employs a high-tech virtual backdrop to display immersive scenarios, pulling guests into the realm of ancient Chinese civilizations in a jaw-dropping fashion.

During the trip's visit to Minnesota's city of Minneapolis, the premier Orpheum Theatre will be our host. Its renowned stage, honored by many of the past year’s greatest performers, will set the foundation for the incredible show, enhancing it further with stellar sights, dynamic lighting, and finely tuned acoustics.
